For those of you with children who are interested in a local babysitting service, we have found the American Registry for Nannies and Sitters, Inc. American Registry is a licensed, bonded, and insured agency. They have rates for group sittings (if more than one family would like to have their children together for the evening) or hotel child care rates.
Hotel Child Care Rates
16.50 per hour/ 1 or 2 children$17 per hour/ 3 children
$17.50 per hour/ 4 children
4 hour minimum required, 24 hour cancellation notice required
Split in payment, $10/hr paid in cash to sitter, $6.50/hr charged to credit card for the agency which makes up the $16.50 per hour rate.
Transportation fee of $10 paid in cash to sitter if after 10pm
Group Child Care Rates
Each sitter is to be paid $25.00 per hour$10.00 transportation fee paid in cash to sitter if after 10pm.
American Registry will determine the number of sitters needed to staff a group child care sitting. The number of children each sitter can properly care for is determined by the ages of the children.
Age of child
0-2 years - 1 sitter for 2 children2-4 years - 1 sitter for 3 children
5-6 years - 1 sitter for 5 children
6 and older - 1 sitter for 10 children
