front end:
The client wanted an easy to manage site with a forum – completely designed from the ground up. We provided them with a completely custom design for an integrated WordPress/bbPress site.
back end:
The main goal with this site was to make a single sign-on web site for the client and their users. We tied in bbPress, added some jQuery functionality (scroller, etc) – and used everything we could to make sure it was easily managed.
lessons learned/random thoughts:
I love working with bbPress and WordPress together and enjoy the simplicity of this site.

front end:
The client provided a simple Photoshop PSD mockup and I turned that into the WordPress theme seen on the site. The client’s needs very basic so everything is very simple and straightforward.
back end:
The client wanted to easily manage all the content without touching any code – so I made sure everything was managed by them. Overall, there was nothing complicated with this site – just a very straightforward clean theme with minimal custom functionality.
lessons learned/random thoughts:
I turned this around in less than a day so it was nice to see something from start to finish within a day.

front end:
I had done some work with this client previously and the theme needed for this site was very similar to the theme for the other site but with some slight modifications.
back end:
For the other Carnival theme, I used a third party theme to start with (Carnival provided). Since there were a lot of customizations on the backend needed, I ended up rebuilding the theme, stripping a lot of unused functions out, adding a lot more admin panels for easy content manipulation, and focusing on giving the client full control of their content. There are several custom functions in place with this site (featured box (can either be video, slideshow, or single image), sidebar widgets, custom admin panels to control almost all images, logos, and text.
lessons learned/random thoughts:
It is almost always easier and more efficient to work with something that you built than to try and troubleshoot as long as you are committed to simplicity and documentation – and I will be happy to continually develop this theme.
