We are looking for a developer who has both mobile app development experience as well as expertise in PHP, MySQL, and Bootstrap web development. The ideal candidate would excel in communication, documentation, and an ability to work with a team of developers as well as interface daily with clients.
Location:
Remote as long as you are able to work within standard working hours in Central time zone
Hours per week:
20-30 (more hours are available if you prove to be a good fit)
Day to day tasks:
Mobile App Development:
- Maintain and debug existing mobile app (React Native, TypeScript) codebase for iOS and Android
- Develop new functionality per the client needs
Mobile App Experience:
- Creating new apps and submitting them to Apple/Google
- Debugging existing app code
- Updating libs/properly testing with automated testing
PHP Development
- Maintain and debug existing custom PHP/MySQL MVC web applications
- Create new functionality per the client needs
- Identify performance issues/optimize existing code
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Front-End Development
- Strong expertise in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and programming languages relevant to PHP and mobile app development
- Experience in Software Development with a focus on scalable, high-performance systems
- Knowledge of and familiarity with database systems and integration
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience in Agile development methodologies is a plus
- Working experience with WordPress core functionality and APIs
- Experience of third party APIs (HubSpot, Google, Docusign, Sendgrid, Twilio, etc) as well as the ability to code your own APIs as needed
- Experience with git/github
- Experience with Bootstrap (Specifically 5.0+)
- Familiarity of large scale (millions of users) systems including the ability fo find/address bottlenecks
- Comfortable using SSH and command line functionality
- Ability to communicate effectively with both developers and clients
