Project Overview
This site serves as a communication source for NIU staff and parents of the students at the center.
Front End Description
This site uses Gridbox (purchased theme) for the layout and has some minor customizations to match other NIU sites.
Back End Description
The end goal was to automate communication between the staff and parents. Staff can post individual posts/news in specific categories and then we set up MailChimp to automate subscriptions based on the children's classrooms so the parents can sign up and receive pertinent information in a timely manner.
Lessons Learned/Random Thoughts
Automating news to then filter into email newsletters is a great way to make sure people stay in the loop.
