• New awesome widgets to let you easily post images, videos, and text (with the text editor!)
• Easier new way to deal with links within the text editor
• View upcoming WordPress related events in your local area
• All sorts of fun stuff for developers (like the Text Editor JavaScript API and Media Widgets API

If you have not done so already – download the update or simply use your existing installation of WordPress to update your site. Either way – this is an excellent time to make a backup copy of your site(s) before upgrading.

As always, a big thanks to all the contributors for their time and attention to the new features/fixes! There are a number of changes in this version which really will go a long way helping everyday users create even better content much easier.
